Two Unique Format Beauty-from-Within Wellness Supplements Hit the US Market

More supplements designed to deliver high-profile ingredients like collagen, NAD+ and ceramides are rolling out to US consumers who are increasingly making the connection between their overall health and wellness and their skin and hair health. Two of the newest entries are new formats that go beyond the basic pills, capsules or gummies.

Healthycell, Charleston, SC, has rolled out Vibrant Hair, Skin & Nails, which the Charleston, SC-based company says is a blend of essential vitamins, nutrients, and amino acid building blocks that work to boost collagen production and provide comprehensive nourishment via a patent-pending delivery system.

The delivery system, Microgel, is designed to offer the most bioavailable forms of nutrients that would otherwise require swallowing a handful of pills, according to the company. Each gel pack contains over 2,750mg of “beauty supporting” nutrients, which Healthycell says is the equivalent of about seven large capsules.

The formulation contains collagen, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, biotin and silica.

The blend of essential ingredients combined with our advanced Microgel technology delivers effective, science-backed solutions that empower individuals to look and feel their best,” said Healthycell Chief Marketing Officer Tara Staten.

Also new to the US beauty ingestible category are fast-dissolving nutraceutical wafers under the MeltMed banner. They are formulated for anti-aging skin care, energy and immune health.

MeltMed is a wholly owned subsidiary of iX Biopharma Ltd., a specialty pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company listed on the Singapore Exchange.

According to the brand, WaferiX technology  safely delivers active compounds via the oral mucosal membrane under the tongue, allowing MeltMed products to offer increased absorption and effectiveness. The new supplements feature nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) and glutathione.

MeltMed's debut offerings in the US are Regenerate with NAD+, and Radiance with Glutathione.

“Our innovation holds tremendous value for consumers, as our wafers provide a safe, cost-effective, accessible way to effectively supplement glutathione and NAD+ for wellness purposes,” said Megan Jewett, MeltMed's business development manager.

According to Jewett, by delivering these molecules directly under the tongue, MeltMed wafers “ensure rapid absorption and maximum effectiveness and are an effective alternative to IV infusions.”
